BIKE WEEK DAYTONA 2008 rolling down March 8th

Meet at the lot gulf to bay blvd 6am
Leave 6.30 am

Pick up tampa and brandon riders at 7.00am in Tampa at Bets Buy Lot on Dale Mabry

Leave 7.20 am
Road Captain Bob to go over the rideing rules and also the front and end runners.

Stop for breakfast and rest at McDOnalds o I-4 In Orlando downtown on the way half way.

Go Over what our emergencys in Daytona and bike problems point of meeting and point of return.
Follow truck pick up Mine cna be used if someone wants to drive it has holding for 2 bikes in the back.

Parking on designated location in Daytona

return at 4pm to Tampa for safe no traffic return..
later cause problems and hgarder to coordinate

stay away form alcohol and stick to water and gatorade or sodas.
Usually dehydration kicks in by the afternoon.

Follow truck will be place for jackets gloves etc..

I will have a
fire extinguisher
first aid kit
cooler with some water in it.
spare mc battery
1 tool kit
zip ties
coolant
oil
brake fluid
duct tape
battery jump cables

that should cover anything that might happend and what we might need in case of emergency
I just like to be covered.

We will be having a Tech Day this Sunday to get the bikes prepped for Daytona. We will be riding down March 8 and coming back the same day. Stay tuned for more information.

i keep hearing conflicting opinions about how to represent at bike week.. is the plan still to just ride over for the day? is anyone planning on going for the weekend? some of my friends are talking about getting hotel rooms for the weekend.. bob says to ride over for the day is a hell ride.. other friends tell me traffic is absurd.. what do you guys all think?

traffic flow from orlando to daytona is sick......make the trip prior to sunup...leave late. I'd sleep under a tree for 5 hours then start my day already there at 10:00am -vs- trying to get into town at the same time as all the heads staying in orlando head in.

also.....pass the I-4 exit heading into daytona and take the I-95 exit into daytona that you'll see 1 mile later........it breaks you off from the flow of drones all heading the same direction...it's a bit of a bypass.

It just keeps getting worse and worse for me. We have 2 huge weddings planned on this day, so it's IMPOSSIBLE for me to go :mad:...

When riding around it is hard btu if we can do the main ride there and then par togethera nd then ride back etc then we will be fine.
To ride in lage groups need meeting spots and also leaving times..
everyone wil nto eb walking together anyway and do the same things..
the ride over will be cool and the ride back tiring but cool.

Man, I can not wait. I wish we could all get a hotel room out there. No joke, I will be crying hanging onto the the "Welcome to Daytona" sign as you all pry me off of it to leave. Or, just leave me there....

This should be f'ing wonderful. I'll bring chain lube and a tire gauge, cuz that';s all I got. Oh, and I better have a jacket by then. I'll get right on that.
