Jiffy Lube Stores will Aim to Raise $1 Million for Go Red For Women Movement
to Fight Heart Disease
Tampa - Sarasota - Bradenton - Orlando - Clearwater -Largo Ft Myers - Naples - Bonita Springs ― February 1st 2008, Jiffy Lube® service centers i announce their participation in the company’s inaugural Maintenance Partners for Life campaign to support the American Heart Association’s® Go Red For Women movement. Heart disease is the nation’s number one killer of women and men, and Jiffy Lube is committed to donating more than $1 million to help eradicate out the disease.
Research shows many people are unaware of threats to their heart health and vehicle health. According to the American Heart Association, 64 percent of women who die suddenly from coronary heart disease have no previous symptoms. And in a recent vehicle inspection campaign by the Car Care Council, 88 percent of vehicles failed at least one part of the inspection process. The Jiffy Lube Maintenance Partners for Life campaign stresses the importance of being vigilant about heart health and vehicle health, and educates people on smart, preventive maintenance of their bodies and vehicles. Customers will receive valuable information on keeping both “engines” performing at their best.

Throughout February and March, local Jiffy Lube service centers will promote heart health awareness. Customers can participate in the fundraising campaign by donating $3 to Go Red For Women and in return will receive a Jiffy Lube Maintenance Partners for Life savings book worth $100 in preventive-maintenance savings. The book features recipes for healthy meals and tips for living a healthier lifestyle. In addition, consumers can get a scratch-off ticket with a chance to win a luxury SUV filled with healthy living giveaways including a mountain bike, running shoes, and exercise equipment, or one of hundreds of other prizes.
