I'm ready to replace that heavy dual exhaust on my 07 gsxr 1000 and i have narrowed my choice down... I'm looking at a M4 GP style exhaust and a Ackrapovic single canister exhaust... i will not be adding a PC and am looking to the best overall, quality and performance with out a tune... has anyone had any experience with M4 i know Acka is good but have heard a lot of good about the M4 but some say not to do it because i wont be tunning it.. oh and the M4 is $175 cheaper than the Acka

Hello,
Akrapovic, really good exhaust , easy to tune and manytimes no need of tunning.
M4 a little more open muffler requires some tunning usually.
I have been installing Leo Vince's , very nice exhausts italian craftmanship and they do not need tunning. They design this one so it is no required to tune.
Also Keep in mind that Suzuki's are a bit easier to tune since you can actually tune the original ECU without a Power Comm.
Not many shops have the tool to do it but ask around and you will find one. I have one in my shop and use it on dyno tunes on suzukis.
But check www.leovinceusa.com I sell them and they are great and the prices are even better.
Thanks

SPEED DOCTOR--
tune a stock pcm?... great!! but i purchased the SEP warranty (suzuki extended protection) so if i have a problem with my bike can they say its from tunning the stock pcm or will they be able to tell... also i will be coming down in about 3 weeks and of cource will have my bike so if you can do it and it cannot be traced back to "void" my engine warranty let me know..

want to tell an intresting story and everone can agree after seeing the results on this one..
Bike 1
2007 Yamaha R1
ignition module
power commander
bnc air filter
3 up rear sprocket
worn rear tire
2 brothers exhaust
2nd bike
2007 Yamaha R1
ignition moule
power commander
k&n air filter
stock rear sprocket
new rear tire
full sato racing titianium system
result
Bike 1
dyno after 2500 miles 155.8 hp rear tire
Bike 2
dyno after 1300 miles 150.4 hp rear tire
I say that custom mapping is a must
I also say that slip on 2 brothers is just as good if not better
than a full system
Recommndation for suzuki for exhaust
TiForce exhaust full system

Id say we will be at the same rigth now
but then again that is all up to what dyno..
I will have it with corsa tuesday next week and I think that jason will get it up with the custom map..
I dont think I will gain anything since I am running rich already he is to lean rigth now..
maybe some intake and some heads and soem pistons will change all of that we will see..
I wanted to have 170-180 at the rear wheel
my old 02 suzuki had 172 at the rear wheel
I can easily see 170 at rear wheel for around $1000

hummm,... well stock my bike has 161hp +/- a few ponies, and the header pipe is already titanium stock so a full system isn't going to improve greatly over a slip on... when i come down at the end of March I'm going to work with the speed doctor and if he can have him remap the stock PC if its not traceable, and if not i may decide to put the PC III on and if i have a problem with her take it off before delivering the bike to the dealer...
either way i will blow all of you away with just a slip on :smilie_finger1:
ehh?? i see a dyno day in the future..... perhaps around end of march... Speed Doctor interested in hosting a Dyno Bash... yea maybe huh??? .
:action-smiley-070:
ok hurry everyone go to Barneys and cycle gear to get PC and Full systems lol
