OK, why did he crash?

Come on, think about it. If it was simply a throttle error I wouldn't ask. Look closely. He made a very common mistake.

my first day ever at jennings did the same thing in the same corner, but saved it........and rode it out .... phew

yeah i started to roll it on and a lil to soon it the turn . th sv 1000 its really powerful and it spun the rear wheel .

so i learned to be alot more smooth with the throttle

The error I saw was that the bike was turned twice.

At 31 seconds, he turns in for the turn and is knee down. Since I haven't been to the track yet, I'm guessing here, judging from the looks of the turn and his approach to it, I guess very shortly after knee down he's on the gas - like he should be. Then he picks the bike up a little and goes back to knee down all the while feeding in more gas. More gas, more lean, bad combination.

It's a very common mistake especially at the exit of corners when riders feel like, or are, running out of room. It's the main reason for slides I see.

So, that's something to watch for in your own riding.


Side note: I love the dirt bike engine sounds...
