This isnt to start drama in any way, but I read this in there open forum. This is posted from a board member and moderator.
Due to recent events that have transpired in the past few weeks, the board members have decided to take action to rectify and save any chance this club has of ever succeeding. Therefore, it is with heavy heart that we, as a board, have decided to shut down the forum for no less than six months. This will be effective 10 days from Saturday, June 28, 2008. This is to try and salvage any reputation this club may have left. If after six months, the current board members decide that the club as a whole will be able to flourish the way that a riding club is supposed to be, without all the bickering, finger pointing, judging, and name calling, then we will consider starting it back up. Maybe after then, whatever grudges have been brought up against other members can be squashed. Should the club after six months need more healing, then it will remain shut down until further notice.
I do apologize for this being brought up via the forum and the internet. It is unfortuante that it had to be done this way. However, at the last meeting, which was held at Country Skillet, there were only a handful of people there at best, and we did not find it appropriate to deliver the message in pieces or have it relayed. This is the only way that everyone will be able to see what is going on, and not have to speculate.
For the new people who just arrived or joined the forum, who may not know all of the history that has lead to this decision, alot of this might not make sense to you, but were just keeping you updated on the forum status.
For all the current rides and events that are currently posted, as of now, they are still going forward as planned. Super Sunday ride still on, etc. If the site is down before then, just contact each other phone or email or wahtever.
