i bought a 08 ninja 250 back in april and crashed it, its been sitting since the 30th of april i finally got the gas tank and got it running again today, only problem is it idles at 3k rpms and the adjust wont make it go down but it will work for making it go up. not only that but the oil temp light stays on for some reason. if someone wouldnt mind riding over to my house or ill ride to theres if they are semi close to me and have them take a look at it. id really be grateful, i live in holiday btw

were the idle adjuster is follow that cable to the carb... there should be a set screw there some were that is not allowing it to go farther down... turn the throttle when you find it and see how it works its usually pretty easy to see and do

the oil light might be a broken wire to the sensor since you wreck or a broken sensor. not sure were its located on that bike. check www.ronayers.com (http://www.ronayers.com) there should be a fische on there you can see it

ok well i already did that, hell i lossened up the idle so much the screw came out the throttle body thing that move wont go down past 3k rpms for idle....... im starting to hate this damn bike i wish someone near me had the same bike.....

I know Annie had one, but she only had it for a couple of months before she traded it in, but she never had problems with it.....

How did you crash it btw......hope you were ok....

vac. leak can bring idle up also but not that much normally check all hoses and check to make sure nothing is bumping the carbs linkage.move closed by hand at carb not at cable.
