the 09 r1 has gold forks, i want black i can powdercoat at my job but im not sure if they are anodized or painted or what and if it is anodized, how do i go about changing them to powdercoating if that will work on them aswell, would i have to take off the anodizing? and how would i? or what shops are on this forum that will do all the work for me, including taking the forks off the bike (not too mechanically talented in that department to do it myself) and aprox how much would u charge. any info will help thanks!

most part i belive your forks have what is call hard coat anodizing which is harder that normal a pain to get off . that coating is why i stopped polishing frames and parts. if you can get them off and glass bead blast you'll be ok but don't used sand blast only glass because it does not remove as much material from fork. most powder coat shops can prep them before the coat but cost extra for prep.
